Bob Feller (b. November 3, 1918 - d. December 15, 2010) Phenom Bob Feller left the farm at age 17 and struck out 15 in his first official big league appearance. Amazingly, he was signed by a Cleveland scout for one dollar and an autographed baseball. Feller's fastball, once timed at over 98 mph, may have been the fastest of all-time. "Rapid Robert" led the AL seven times in strikeouts, six seasons in wins, and four times in shutouts. Feller won 266 games, all for Cleveland, and three no-hitters.

Comments: A 1953 Topps PSA 8 occupied this spot since (before 2000). I don't recall the exact purchase details. But, I decided to part with it in 2007 when I started taking the collection in a new direction to acquire more type cards. I was happy with having the 1953 Topps issue represented by Jackie Robinson and Satchell Paige. So in March, 2007 I ended up buying a PSA 4 '48 Swell card and later upgraded to this PSA 6 in June, 2008.

Description:	This is a set of black-and-white cards which depicts memorable events in baseball history. The cards measure 2-1/2" X 3" and have a picture frame border and event title on the card fronts. The card backs describe the event in detail. Twenty cards were produced in this set by the Philadelphia Chewing Gum Corporation of Havertown, PA. Each card is numbered, and card numbers 9,11, 16 and 20 are considered more difficult to obstain.
