Comments: My first Carlton portrait was a 1981 Topps PSA 9 purchased via eBay in March, 2002. I upgraded to a PSA 10 in December, 2005 with another eBay win. In July, 2007 I swapped the card out for a 1981 Topps Super Home Team PSA 9. In April, 2010 I made another change by winning a 1981 Donruss PSA 10. Finally, swapped out cards again and purchased the Tastykake PSA 9 in May, 2012. I've been looking for a GEM MT example since but haven't had any luck.

UPDATE: I search eBay for "Tastykake, Carlton" on a regular basis and the first week of June, 2015 a PSA 10 1983 Tastykake popped up on the screen. It wasn't the '84 I was looking for and I didn't even know cards were issued in 1983. But it fit the bill perfectly- portrait card with personality. He was smiley in the picture and I liked the Phillies ballcap. My snipe won it at $38!
