Comments: I first learned
of this card in March, 2008 when I found an example on eBay and
won the auction for a mere $1. I heard rumors this guy would be elected to the Hall of Fame someday and this was the perfect portrait card. The card was sent off to PSA and came back graded
              NM-MT 8.5. I purchased another example in June, 2011 but when I
received it, the card wouldn't grade higher. In September, 2011
I ended up purchasing 10 complete sets of the 1994 UD American Epic
cards with another auction win (Buy It Now - Best Offer of $60 including
S&H) from seller Stan Zielinski (sportsvaluesz). The goal was to
pull a few mint examples of the Miller card, have them submitted
to PSA, get a GEM MT card for myself and sell off the remainder
to recoup the cost. In June, 2013 I picked out the five best examples and sent them off for grading.  On August 8th, 2013 the cards were returned to me by PSA - one PSA 9, and four PSA 10 examples. So I got a GEM for myself and three more to sell and recoup my costs.

UPDATE: On 12/9/2019, the date of Miller's election to the Hall of Fame, I sold the PSA 8.5 for $32.99. I immediately listed the PSA 10 and it's already up to $85 with four more days of bidding to go. So, I'll do well on this little $60 investment in 2013. |
