Comments: I remember
buying a 1972 Topps Nolan Ryan at a show in the mid-1990s. I submitted the card to PSA and it came back graded NM. I sold the PSA 7 in May,
2000 after I upgraded to a PSA 8 example. This card was nearly
MINT with a couple of razor corners and a couple with very slight
touches. Beautiful!
UPDATE: It's 2020 and we're all dealing with COVID. People are staying home and bored. Rookie card prices are going through the roof. On August 30th, a PSA 8 Nolan Ryan RC sold for $6000 on eBay and I realized it was time to upgrade my 5th year card. I found a PSA 9 beauty on the bay and won the auction (first week of September), with a last second bid while taking the dog out for a walk. It's a beauty and worthy of the "Mint" rating in every aspect. The color pops, the corners are sharp and the centering is perfect. |
