One of the most comprehensive collectors' issues to feature the stars of the Negro Leagues, the Fritsch set features black-and-white photos of varying quality; most of the photos are contemporary with the players' careers from the 1920s into the 1950s, with a few of the segregated leagues' earlier pioneers also included. Fronts are highlighted with red graphics. Backs are printed in blue and present a brief summary of the player's career and a list of the teams on which he played. Cards are in standard 2-1/2" X 3-1/2" format. |
